I want to make sure you have all the information you need to make an informed decision about your mental health care. That's why I have put together a list of common FAQs about my services at Counseling Solutions. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. WHAT WILL WE DO IN THERAPY?
Imagine your life as a journey up a mountain.
Along the way, you may encounter boulders, steep paths, and unexpected detours that make the climb feel overwhelming. In therapy, we work together to recognize these obstacles and explore new ways to navigate them. You’re the one making the climb—no one else can do it for you—but therapy can offer you a map, guidance, and the tools you need to keep moving forward with greater clarity and confidence.
My approach is one of curiosity, authenticity, and support, while sometimes gently pointing out the areas that may be keeping that boulder in front of you.

HOW DO I BOOK WITH YOU?
I offer two types of options for booking.
1. If you are looking to utilize your insurance, I contract with Mindful Therapy Group who helps me do billing and I am covered with most insurances. We are located in a physical office close to Downtown Spokane or I am available via telehealth. www.mindfultherapygroup.com
2. If you are interested in nature-based walk and talk therapy, please contact me directly at counselingwithvictoria@gmail.com or

HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?
Each session is around 53 minutes. This specific number is to do with insurance billing. Our sessions will tend to follow a predictable pattern. We will start with a 10-15 minute check-in session, review of homework, and review of the previous week. We will them move in to our active part of our session, discussing an area you wish to work on, and the final few minutes will be setting plans for the upcoming week and things to consider.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?
I am currently contracted with Medicare, Premera, Kaiser, United Healthcare, & Wellspring/United EAP.
For Walk and Talk therapy, this is currently only offered by private pay. I do offer a sliding-fee scale with the intent to make it accessible to all.

WHAT IS WALK AND TALK THERAPY?
Side-by-side work, and especially while walking, can sometimes be more therapeutically effective. In certain circumstances, if both parties are in agreement, we may choose to have our session while on a local trail. It is important to note that this inherently poses some risks to confidentiality and to your person (slip/falls etc.). If you are interested in this service, let's talk!

WHAT ARE YOUR SLIDING FEE RATES?
My goal is to make therapy accessible; while also honoring the energy and training I bring to this work. Below is my sliding scale, based on income and financial circumstances. I invite clients to self-select the tier that best fits their situation—no proof required, just honesty and alignment. No one will be turned away based solely on financial hardship.

Tier 1 - $125/ session - You’re financially able to pay the standard psychotherapy rate and fully invest in your care.
Tier 2 - $90/session - You can meet your needs and have some discretionary income for therapy.
Tier 3 - $60/session - You have limited income or resources and would not be able to attend without a reduced rate.
Tier 4 - Other amount - Let's talk!
.Note: I hold a limited number of reduced-fee spots. If none are currently available, I’m happy to add you to a waitlist or help with referrals.
